Patheos Lambasts Julio Severo for Mentioning Islamic Origin of Statue of Liberty

Patheos Lambasts Julio Severo for Mentioning Islamic Origin of Statue of Liberty

By Julio Severo
In his Patheos’s piece titled “Wingnut: Statue of Liberty a ‘Pagan Curse’ on America,” atheist author Ed Brayton said,
“Just when you thought the wingnuts couldn’t become any more ridiculous, they manage to top their own world record for utter stupidity. Julio Severo, a Brazilian blogger, writes at — of course — BarbWire that the Statue of Liberty is a pagan symbol that has cursed America. Because Islam, something something something.”
Then he added that the Statue of Liberty has “nothing at all to do with Islam,” as a direct answer to my article “Statue of Liberty, a Pagan-Islamic Curse on America?” published in BarbWire.
Have Patheos and Brayton been able to disprove my BarbWire article? Not at all.
* An article titled “The Statue of Liberty Was Originally a Muslim Woman” by the Smithsonian Institution says exactly the contrary of Patheos and Brayton. The Smithsonian Institution is a group of museums and research centers administered by the Government of the United States.
* There is also the DailyBeast article titled “The Statue of Liberty Was Born a Muslim.”
Is this enough? Are we hearing atheist Ed Brayton calling the Smithsonian Institution and the DailyBeast “wingnuts”?
It seems that Brayton does not like to use Google to search for very basic answers. This problem is widespread among left-wingers. They do not like answers. But they like to make trouble. “Die Hard Democrat” criticized me for the same reason of Brayton.
Brayton closed his diatribe by saying:
“People often ask me why I write about these people and their bizarre ideas. The answer, one would think, should be obvious: Because there are a lot of people out there who actually believe this stuff. Millions and millions and millions of them. They influence elections. They run government agencies. They sit on university boards and design homeschool curricula. Their ideas are distributed on websites like BarbWire, owned by a guy who was the assistant dean of the Liberty University Law School, which is hugely influential on the Christian right. We need to shine the light on this deranged ideology rather than ignore it.”
Brayton’s anti-conservative article was published on Patheos, a website containing a hellish salad of religious and non-religious writers. The first time I found Patheos I thought they were atheistic, because I saw atheistic writers among its columnists. In fact, Patheos is mentioned in “Right Wing Watch, of People for the American Way, Blacklists Julio Severo” for its criticism of my Christian view on demons.
Am I the only conservative Christian attacked by Patheos? By no means.
In the article “Christian Women Gathered in Washington To March Against Feminism and Abortion,” Patheos criticized Christian women who would protest feminism and abortion. The criticism’s author is atheist Sarahbeth Caplin.
In “Dear Christian Conservative: An Open Letter from an Ex-evangelical,” a Patheos’ progressive “Christian” who abandoned evangelicalism urges evangelical readers to abandon evangelicalism and conservatism. She will have a hard time in her mission, because no real conservative evangelical would read Patheos.
Atheists are not the only writers in Patheos, which has also the following columnists:
* Brian McLaren, a progressive Protestant minister who supports gay “marriage.”
* Qasim Rashid, a Muslim author.
* Brad Hirschfield, a liberal Jewish author.
* Vivianne Crowley, a high priestess of Wicca.
* Bristol Palin, daughter of former U.S. Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
* Frank Schaeffer, a progressive “Christian” who is the son of the late conservative Reformed theologian and author Francis Schaeffer. Frank became a liberal, pro-abortion and pro-sodomy Democrat and today he attacks all conservative stances of his father.
Patheos has many other progressive “Christian”, atheistic, Muslim, pagan and spiritualistic writers. If you are not conservative, you are welcome in Patheos! It is not a place for true followers of Jesus Christ.
Yet, it is the perfect place for left-wing wingnuts like Ed Brayton, who called me “wingnut” because liberals, progressives, socialists and left-wingers have a terrible habit of accusing their victims of what they are.
Three years ago, Brayton used the same name-calling against me. He has also labeled movie star Chuck Norris a “moron” because Norris said that if Obama were elected in 2012, his socialism would lead America to 1,000 years of darkness.
By repeating “wingnut” to himself he hopes to convince his atheist mind that I am what he is.
Yet, he is mistaken both in this effort and on the idea that the Statue of Liberty had no Islamic origin.
As far as it depends on progressive “Christian,” atheistic, Muslim, pagan and spiritualistic wingnuts, Patheos’s anti-Christian religious Babylon will bless a pagan-Islamic idol in New York cursing America.

“Die Hard Democrat” Criticizes Julio Severo for Saying that Statue of Liberty Represents a Pagan-Islamic Curse on America

“Die Hard Democrat” Criticizes Julio Severo for Saying that Statue of Liberty Represents a Pagan-Islamic Curse on America

By Julio Severo
Writing in a website called “Die Hard Democrat,” left-wing Thomas Jenkins is annoyed because in my article “Statue of Liberty, a Pagan-Islamic Curse on America?” I saw, based on historical facts and Bible interpretation, pagan and Islamic symbolism, representing a curse, in the State of Liberty.
The Statue of Liberty is one of America’s most instantly recognizable and enduring national symbols. However, it carries with it symbolism that does not please some right-wing conservatives, as it also represents openness to accepting foreigners into our population. One Christian activist took criticism of the Statue of Liberty even further by bizarrely claiming that Lady Liberty is actually “a pagan-Islamic curse.”
Then, citing my name and showing my picture, he said,
Hard-right conspiracy theorist Julio Severo wrote a piece on conservative site Barb Wire where he attempted to share the “true” history of the Statue of Liberty. Stated Severo dubiously about the statue’s origins, “The Statue of Liberty was originally conceived as a Muslim woman to stay at the approach to the Suez Canal in Egypt, a lantern in her upraised hand serving as both lighthouse and a symbol of progress. But the sculptor, Frederic Auguste Bartholdi of France, was unable to sell the idea to the ruler of Egypt, because in the Islamic world, women are symbols of submission, not progress. So the Islamic Egypt rejected the ‘Islamic woman of progress.’” He went on, “Yet, Bartholdi did not give up his idea. He sold it to Americans, by transforming the Muslim woman into a neo-classical sculpture representing the Roman goddess of freedom, Libertas, or Lady Liberty — as she is known today.”
Hard-right conspiracy theorist? Seriously? Last September, “Die Hard Democrat” attacked me because I did not blame Hurricane Harvey on the conspiracy theory of global warming. To counter its advocacy of this left-wing conspiracy theory, I wrote “Die Hard Democrat’ Criticizes Julio Severo for Not Blaming Hurricane Harvey on Global Warming.
Right Wing Watch, a far-leftist group that has blacklisted me, also did not like my article on the Statue of Liberty.
Then, Thomas Jenkins said,
Julio then bemoaned, “Not only it is modern paganization of America a baffling mystery to conservative Americans, but also her submissive attitude of welcoming millions of Muslim immigrants and ‘refugees.’” He then criticized the last five presidential administrations, Democrat and Republican alike, for each accepting “hundreds of thousands” of Muslims into the United States. He went on about the presidents, “Their behavior is shocking. Or America is crazily infatuated with Muslims or some ‘spirit’ is destroying her Christian resistance and driving her to her Christian suicide by Islamic hands. All these U.S. presidents are, nominally or not, Protestant Christians. By some reason, which is not Christian, they injected hundreds of thousand Muslims in America. Were they submissive to a secret agenda — as secret as the Muslim woman behind Libertas?” Severo later declared, “America accepted a disgrace on herself without knowing. A Roman pagan symbol of an old dead empire involved in the culture of death. Mystery of mysteries: the Roman goddess that is in New York has a hidden female soul submissive to Islam. The Statue of Liberty brings a pagan curse from the defunct Roman Empire. And as a bonus in the pagan curse, there is an Islamic curse.” Do you find it sad that this man actually believes this nonsense?
Let us see what real nonsense is.
In other article published in “Die Hard Democrat,” Jenkins said, “Republican President Donald Trump created needless international controversy recently when he proclaimed that the United States had officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.”
Sheer nonsense is not to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital when Jerusalem has been Israel’s capital for 3,000 years.
A normal Democrat supports homosexual indoctrination of children and legal abortion, which is the murder of innocent babies. So die hard Democrats like Jenkins, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton support much more fanatically homosexual indoctrination of children and legal abortion.
Homosexual indoctrination of children is utter nonsense. Legal abortion is utter nonsense and murder.
My “nonsense” (according to Jenkins’s left-wing convictions) does not murder innocent babies and does not sacrifice children’s innocence on the altar of homosexual indoctrination.
Yet, left-wing nonsense easily excuses and advocates the murder of children’s innocence and lives.

Right Wing Watch, of People for the American Way, Blacklists Julio Severo

Right Wing Watch, of People for the American Way, Blacklists Julio Severo

By Julio Severo
Right Wing Watch, a major American socialist group, has for several times, since 2014 (see: People for the American Way’s Leftist Diatribe Against a Brazilian Conservative), blacklisted my articles published by the conservative website BarbWire, and it has “exposed” them to its U.S. left-wing audience for politically incorrect views.
Many prominent U.S. conservative names are in Right Wing Watch’s blacklist. My place in their blacklist is here.
My latest BarbWire article blacklisted by Right Wing Watch is titled “Statue of Liberty, a Pagan-Islamic Curse on America?” Right Wing Watch said on December 11, 2017:
“Julio Severo warns that the Statue of Liberty is bringing a ‘pagan-Islamic curse on America.’”
This was not my only article blacklisted by them. Months ago, they blacklisted “What Will America Gain by Making Homosexuality Great?” Right Wing Watch said on June 29, 2017,
Julio Severo says that “if America wants to be great, she should despise the sin of Sodom as repugnant and follow the Book loved by the early Americans.”
Right Wing Watch exposed, at the same time, Melania Trump, Tom DeLay and Erik Rush just for expressing conservative views hated by the U.S. left.
On June 12, 2017, Right Wing Watch said:
Finally, Julio Severo has a message: “As a Brazilian conservative evangelical, I ask U.S. evangelicals to press the Trump administration to abandon Obama’s homosexual imperialism in the State Department and honor his commitment to his evangelical constituents, who were instrumental for his victory. The Trump administration should defend family against predatory homosexuality, which is a special threat to children.”
Why does Right Wing Watch want to defend Trump, who is an evangelical, in his non-conservative attitudes involving his pro-sodomy State Department? Specifically, why does this powerful left-wing group want to defend Trump from a Brazilian conservative evangelical?
Right Wing Watch exposed, at the same time, Jesse Lee Peterson and David Kupelian just for expressing conservative views hated by the U.S. left.
Other prominent conservative leaders frequently attacked by Right Wing Watch are: Scott Lively, Pat Robertson, Peter LaBarbera, Tony Perkins, Matt Barber, Linda Harvey, Bill Federer, Michael Savage, Alex Jones, Joseph Farah, Jerry Falwell Jr., Jane Chastain, Erik Rush, Bryan Fischer, Michele Bachmann, James Dobson, Dinesh D’Souza, Family Research Council, Barbara Simpson, Mat Staver, Cindy Jacobs, Lou Engle, Lance Wallnau, Rick Joyner, David Horowitz, Larry Klayman and many others.
What does Right Wing Watch, which is owned by People for the American Way, want?
According to WND, People for the American Way (PFAW) is “an atheist socialist organization which, through publications like its ‘Right Wing Watch,’ dedicates itself to the destruction of conservatives in general.”
According to its website, Right Wing Watch has a special mission to attack conservatives opposed to the gay agenda, abortion and Muslim ideology.
This is not the first time Right Wing Watch exposed my article to its American left-wing audience. Last April, Right Wing Watch said,
Finally, Julio Severo is outraged that Vice President Pence took off his shoes while visiting a mosque in Indonesia: “You can take off your shoes where God is. But to take off your shoes in a place where God is offended is an insult to God. A Christian should never take off his shoes in a place where Islam is worshiped.”
Why does Right Wing Watch want to defend Pence, who is a conservative evangelical, in his non-conservative attitudes involving Islam? Specifically, why does this powerful left-wing group want to defend Pence from a Brazilian conservative evangelical?
Last January Right Wing Watch said:
Julio Severo asserts that Obama’s state department fomented “culture war on behalf of the homosexual agenda” all over the world that was carried out by that “pro-sodomy neocon,” Hillary Clinton.
Last October Right Wing Watch said:
Julio Severo proclaims that “neocon Hillary and her Catholic vice want to purge America from real Christian conservatives …The real Founding Fathers of America, including the first American president George Washington, were white, Protestant and conservative. They were not pro-abortion, pro-sodomy and neocon. They would never support neocon Hillary.”
In that same month, Right Wing Watch said:
Matt Barber’s BarbWire website posted a story on Monday by frequent contributor Julio Severo, who was alarmed by a “bisexual community briefing” at the White House last month and, in particular, the speech of a self-described bisexual Sioux man who began his presentation by calling on “the Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka, to guide our words and thoughts so that we can speak true and strong.”
In a column titled “Bisexual Indian Invokes Demons At White House,” Severo wrote that the man had invoked “homosexual spirits,” thereby infesting the White House with demons that can only be expelled by “people who know and use the authority of Jesus’ name.”
“A homosexual culture is a culture of demon possession,” he wrote. “Has the White House turned into a haunt of demons?”
The prominent atheistic website Patheos also criticized my Christian view on demons. They do not believe in any God and demon activity in this world. In an article titled “The White House Must Be Exorcised Of Bisexual Native American Demons, Says Christian Writer,” Patheos said, “Severo described the spirits/gay demons as being ‘invisible, lethal and destructive’ — which is fascinating given that, as far as anyone knows, no one has ever actually been murdered by one…”
The Patheos article generated 110 comments from raging atheists against Severo.
In another post this month, Right Wing Watch said:
“Julio Severo warns that if ‘Hillary is elected, everyone in the United States and around the world will pay a high cost for her aggressive abortion and sodomy agenda.’”
They also “exposed” in September 28, 2015:
Finally, Julio Severo is not happy with the nomination of Eric Fanning to serve as Secretary of the Army: “I am sure that in Obama’s and Fanning’s case, the Father of America would approve sentence on them and he would treat, with abhorrence and detestation, their sodomy and sodomy advocacy as an infamous crime. In the least, Obama would be expelled from the U.S. presidency and Fanning would be expelled from Army, both with dishonor, never to return. Both have committed treason against the Father of America.”
They also “exposed” me in June 30, 2015:
Julio Severo warns that “homosexuality brought destruction to Sodom, and it will bring destruction to any city or superpower embracing it. A remnant of Christians faithful to God should warn about the danger of sodomy and support efforts to protect children and their families from it.”
In June 18, 2015, Right Wing Watch again “exposed” me by saying:
Finally, Julio Severo wants to see Scott Lively appointed “as a U.S. Special Envoy for the Human Rights of Children and their Protection against the LGBT Agenda.”
Again, Right Wing Watch read my politically incorrect view on Barbwire.
Why has Right Wing Watch focused on my articles?
What do they intend to do?
In 2011, WND had reported on surveillance by the Homeland Security Department against my blog. What did they intend to do?
In the same year, WND reported in a headline on PayPal cutting my account after a campaign by a U.S. homosexual organization.
Why is Goliath (Right Wing Watch, Homeland Security Department, etc.) monitoring and worried about a small David?

Why Does Facebook Grant Free Speech to Anti-Christian Radicals and Impose Censorship on Christians?

Why Does Facebook Grant Free Speech to Anti-Christian Radicals and Impose Censorship on Christians?

By Julio Severo
On December 10, Facebook blocked me, for 30 days, for a comment about loving sinners.
Facebook gave me this message:
We Removed Something You Posted
It looks like something you posted doesn’t follow our Community Standards. On Facebook, we don’t allow offers of sexual services, solicitation of sexual materials, threats or depictions of sexual violence, threats to share intimate images or any sexual content involving minors.
Como cristãos, precisamos amar os homossexuais, os assassinos, os estupradores, os pedófilos e todos os outros pecadores. Só o amor de Jesus pode fazer isso em nós.
My comment, made originally in Portuguese, has this translation: “As Christians, we should love homosexuals, murderers, rapists, pedophiles and all the other sinners. Only Jesus’s love can do it in us.”
So Facebook removed my comment (not post) from the post of a Christian friend, who liked it. But obviously Facebook did not like it. Strangely, Facebook saw in my comment any one of the following descriptions: “offers of sexual services, solicitation of sexual materials, threats or depictions of sexual violence, threats to share intimate images or any sexual content involving minors.”
To express love for sinners is “offers of sexual services”? Is it “solicitation of sexual materials”? Is it “threats or depictions of sexual violence”? Is it “threats to share intimate images or any sexual content involving minors”?
I am in the dark if Facebook bans Christians from loving sinners. This kind of love does not lead Christians to get involved in sins. It leads them to preach the Gospel to sinners. Facebook became powerful in an America founded by Christians who hated sin, loved sinners and preached the Gospel to them.
According to Facebook’s law, cannot I love or preach the Gospel to homosexuals, murderers, rapists, pedophiles and all the other sinners?
Why not?
Yet, Facebook not only removed my comment. It also gave me the following message:
You’re Temporarily Blocked From Posting
This temporary block will last 30 days, and you won’t be able to post on Facebook until it’s finished.
You’ve repeatedly posted things that aren’t allowed on Facebook. Read the Facebook Community Standards to learn what kinds of posts aren’t allowed.
So because Facebook does not like Christians willing to love and preach the Gospel to homosexuals, murderers, rapists, pedophiles and all the other sinners, it blocked me, imposing on me a 30-day ban on my communication through my personal Facebook profile.
Many times, when I reported name-calling and foul language against my Christian views and Christians, Facebook gave me the automatic answer that it could do nothing. Every time I reported abusive language, Facebook said,
“Thanks for letting us know about this. We looked over the comment, and though it doesn't go against one of our specific Community Standards, you did the right thing by letting us know about it. No one should have to feel bullied or harassed on Facebook, and we’re sorry you had this experience.”
Abusive language against my Christian views and Christians was deemed by Facebook as not violating their Community Standards.
But my general comment, which did not attack anyone specifically, was deemed abusive: “offers of sexual services, solicitation of sexual materials, threats or depictions of sexual violence, threats to share intimate images or any sexual content involving minors.”
Facebook does not want Christians to be Christian in Facebook. If Facebook has a problem with religion, I wonder if the same treatment is applied to Muslims.
After the threat, Facebook said,
“A member of our team accidentally removed something you posted on Facebook. This was a mistake, and we sincerely apologize for this error. We’ve since restored the content, and you should now be able to see it.”
Can some good lawyer send a letter to Facebook to ask them if, as a Christian, I am allowed to express that I love homosexuals, murderers, rapists, pedophiles and all the other sinners in the Christian interest to preach the Gospel to them?
Could Facebook be specific and say that Christians are banned from free speech rights in its social media?
